No grid charging. Solar powers the home first and the grid fills the gap. The battery only charges from solar.
Manual mode. Use it when you never want grid charging.
For hybrid inverters managed in SmartESS or DessMonitor
Watch where every watt is going, keep every reading, and let Solar Atlas switch your inverter to the right mode the moment peak hours begin.
Three modes
Solar Atlas applies these presets for you. Pick one yourself, or let the schedule choose between Peak and Off-Peak.
No grid charging. Solar powers the home first and the grid fills the gap. The battery only charges from solar.
Manual mode. Use it when you never want grid charging.
The home runs on solar, then the battery, and only then the grid. Best while grid electricity is at its most expensive.
Applied automatically inside your peak window.
Solar covers what it can and cheap off-peak grid covers the rest. The battery charges from both, building a reserve for the next peak.
Applied automatically outside your peak window.
What you get
An animated diagram of solar, battery, grid and home. Active sources light up, so you can read the state of the house at a glance.
Battery charge, voltage and current. Solar watts and status. Grid voltage, frequency and mains state. Home load in VA and percent.
Every reading is sampled every 5 minutes and stored, and the history page charts it. Look back at any day, not just today.
Set your peak window once. The scheduler checks the clock every 30 seconds and applies Peak or Off-Peak at each boundary, with the dashboard closed.
Apply a different mode any time. Your choice holds until the next boundary, then the schedule takes over again.
Add it to your phone's home screen. The app shell opens without a connection; live readings need one.
How it works
Use the SmartESS or DessMonitor login you already have for the inverter. Solar Atlas reads its data through the vendor cloud.
Open the dashboard on any device. Readings refresh about every 30 seconds.
Enter the hours your tariff is most expensive. The default window is 17:00 to 23:00.
Turn on the auto schedule. Solar Atlas applies the right mode at each boundary and shows which one is active.
Built and run by Infra8
Solar Atlas is one of Infra8's own products. The same senior team that builds MVPs for founders and runs cloud infrastructure builds and operates it.
Questions
Hybrid solar inverters that you manage in the SmartESS app or the DessMonitor cloud (Eybond platform). Inverters on other platforms are not supported yet.
Only when you ask it to. It reads freely, and it changes the output and charger priority when you press Apply on a mode or when the auto schedule is on. Nothing else is written.
Readings are stored in a database inside the Solar Atlas deployment's own cloud account. The vendor login is kept as an encrypted secret there, and the dashboard sits behind its own username and password.
The installed app still opens. Live readings and mode changes need a connection, because they go through the vendor cloud.
Yes. The window is editable in the dashboard and the scheduler uses the new hours from its next check.
No. It is an independent product from Infra8 and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by SmartESS, DessMonitor or Eybond.
Tell us which inverter you run and how your tariff is set up. We'll get back to you.
